Leinenkugel’s Tap Handles

CHALLENGE

Liene’s customers identify with the canoe-shaped tap handles, but bartenders find the form and weight clumsy to pour from and change out. With unique canoes for each beer variety, the tap handles also have varying brand impressions.

SOLUTION

We developed new tap handles that consistently incorporate the red Leinenkugel’s wordmark on a white canoe. Slimming the canoe down allowed it to fit in a person’s hand more comfortably and eliminated the danger of bumping other handles while being poured. A paddle now runs through the length of the canoe with a removable head allowing bars to rotate in any Leinenkugel’s variety quickly while giving each beer a more prominent, easy-to-read area for varietal names and colors.
